Without missing a beat, MTAC Santa Cruz County Branch has adapted its usual offerings to safe, remote options. Certificate of Merit was held online, culminating with the Branch Honors Recital, presented over Zoom. Celebrate Piano Ensemble, a concert that raises money for music scholarships is offered this year as an online video (see below to watch/make a donation). The Talent Bank Awards Festival is just around the corner, with the Barbara Call Memorial Recital scheduled on Sunday, April 25, at 6:30 pm on Zoom.
Celebrate Piano Ensemble, a group which raises money for music scholarships for school-age students of Santa Cruz County, has given annual benefit concerts each February on the beautiful matched Steinway grand pianos in the UCSC Music Center Recital Hall.
This year, we’re offering a video online – Best of CPE – taken from the last ten years’ concerts. There is music for two pianists at one piano, two pianists at two pianos, three pianos with string quartet – and two pianos with two tango dancers! Something for everyone to enjoy!
