Ensemble Monterey 5/7

Ensemble Monterey presents “American Favorites – Past and Present” at Peace United Church.

This concert celebrates Ensemble Monterey’s 30 years of presenting “The Best Music You’ve Never Heard.” We perform the iconic American song set, Aaron Copland’s Old American Songs. From I Got Me a Mule to Shall We Gather at the River, this 30-monute set is quintessential Americana. The second half of American Favorites is a new commission from our own John Wineglass.

We are very proud that John is a member of Ensemble Monterey, and thrilled that he is rapidly gaining international recognition, having just been recorded by The London Philharmonic Orchestra. This 30-minute premiere will include both Ensemble Monterey and our long time partners Cantiamo! Cabrillo and the Cabrillo Youth Chorus.
