Music in May presents “Harmony Community Concert” at E. A. Hall Middle School in Watsonville.

Harmony celebrates collaboration with local youth. The program will feature students from El Sistema Santa Cruz, piano students from the studio of Kate Alm, violin students from the studios of Terre Lee & Cynthia Baehr, poetry by students from Hartmann School, MiM festival musicians, and MiM’s 2020 community relations director, Pittsburgh-based Venezuelan violinist, Juan Jaramillo.

MiM 2020 musicians include music director of the Santa Cruz Symphony Daniel Stewart, concertmaster of Santa Fe Opera Steven Moeckel, acclaimed guitarist Rupert Boyd, “Billboard Charts” topping cellist Laura Metcalf, Australian virtuoso clarinetist Ashley William Smith, Grammy winning artist Jonah Kim, and more…

The grand finale will be the world premiere arrangement by Dan Baker and Joanne Tanner of United in Song by Tom Brand.
